I THINK I DID IT

            OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

               Broad Street in my town.

Thanks to some very sweet online friends, I think I have updated my blog…. Truly I thank yall so  much…I wouldn’t know how to do any of this stuff without yall.

I use Live Writer and it is not importing my new blog layout.  I have already refreshed it three times..but nothing happens. So I am sort of writing blind as far as how this will look.

                         OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

                                     Main street in my Town.

I got off work , cooked supper and have just sat down here…All I cooked was homemade spaghetti and Sloppy Joes….but I am tired. My feet are swollen tonight for some reason…they haven’t been doing that lately. Otherwise, I am okay. lol

It has rained here all day. We have strong storms heading our way tomorrow; due to a cold front trying to come in.…I hope and pray all will be okay here. I hate severe thunderstorms..an old fashioned thunderstorm is okay…just don’t let it be a tornado.

You can’t see the rain, but you can tell the street is wet. This was taken from the drive up window at the BBQ. The Dogwoods, and Bradford Pear trees are budding out. Some of the azaleas  have already bloomed too. I love Springtime…everything looks so beautiful.

I have been reading the book; THE SHACK. So far I like it…It is about a man,who after having a great sadness befall him in life, finds God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in a shack.  Sound strange?

Hey  in my 55 years I have found out that life is stranger than fiction…so yeah…I think you could find God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit in a shack…

Matter of fact; I did…though just not in the same way that this man does.

                          FAITHgodblessyou

I love God.  He has been so good to all of us….and He isn’t mean to us like we all are to each other……We are his children and He loves us no matter what…and better yet…HE FORGIVES US…even when we can’t even forgive ourselves.

I really do try…and somewhere in this book I read that God wants you to forgive…but He also says that if they don’t change their ways of hurting others. you don’t have to have a relationship with the one you forgave.

When I pray, I always try to ask God to help me be ‘more like HIM and less like ME’…because I know I have many faults….

Yep, God is Good to us….

Maybe it’s time we returned the favor….huh?

GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

Your blog is looking good Carlene. I believe a person can find God anywhere they are if their heart is sincere. I have backed off on the relationship with my brother and SIL because I got tired of the one being hurt. I don't get in touch as much as I used to. God Bles you and your family Carlene. Hugs and Love, Helen

Love the look in your blog... it's wonderful! And such a beautiful entry Carlene... all about the love of Jesus and how He can find us and save us even in a shack... God is so good to us... yes! I too am enjoying the many pleasures of spring blooms here in Kentucky... our Bradford Pear trees and weeping cherry trees and the dogwoods are all in bloom... only some took a beating from that ice storm we had. It is still breath taking... I drove around our first spring in Kentucky after moving out of Florida with my mouth open and gaping happily. God put all this beauty on the earth just for us to enjoy. That is how good He is. I agree totally about the forgiveness.

I've read the book and found it very inspirational. It reminds us that God does really love us all. Your Spring is far ahead of ours, we don't have anything blooming here.
It will come in a few weeks, we just have to wait a bit. I hope your weather doesn't get severe and that your Saturday is a great one.

Cliff and I both read "The Shack". We understand the underlying message and know it's a good one, but we just felt the book was strange.

CARLENE, WE LIKE YOUR BLOGS BECAUSE IT IS PLAIN TO SEE YOUR WRITING IS SINCERE AND FROM THE HEART.
OVER THE YEARS HAS BEEN THE OPPORTUNITY FOR ME TO OBSERVE FAMILIES, PERHAPS NEIGHBORS, MAYBE RUBBING SHOULDERS FOR YEARS, FORMING OPINIONS SOMETIMES KEPT WITHIN.
BY THAT I MEAN WE HAVE SEEN ACTIONS THAT DID NOT HAVE OUR APPROVAL, YET JUST KEPT STILL .
FROM THE TIME OF THE 'WALL STREET CRASH' OF OCTOBER 1929, OUR FAMILY MOVED TO A RURAL NEIGHBORHOOD AND THE FOLLOWING TEN YEARS LIVED THROUGH THE GREAT DEPRESSION.
SCHOOL YEARS WITH OTHER STUDENTS AS POOR OR MORESO THAN MY SIBLINGS AND I. ATTENDING SUNDAY SCHOOL AND CHURCH OCCASIONALLY, (WISH NOW IT HAD BEEN REGULARLY), EVEN SO LEARNED MUCH OF THE GOSPEL, NEVERTHELESS WE YOUNG FOLKS DID THINGS THAT CAUSED US A 'PANG OR TWINGE', KNOWING THAT JESUS WOULD NOT APPROVE OF WRONG ACTIONS.
OF COURSE EVEN WITHOUT THE INTERNET WAY BACK THEN WE HEARD OF SINFUL ACTIONS OF OLDER ONES. CHILDREN KNEW.
NOW IN OLDER YEARS I AM SO HAPPY WITH THE PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST WHICH ALLOWS THE GRACE, MERCY, FORGIVENESS AND SALVATION PROMISED FOR SINCERELY WORSHIPING JESUS CHRIST.
THERE MAY BE SOME PEOPLE THAT WE ARE UNCOMFORTABLE WITH. I SAY, DO NOT HAVE AN ASSOCIATION. SPEND TIME WITH OTHERS THAT ARE HAPPY AND PROUD TO BE A WORSHIPER OF JESUS AND PRAY FOR ALL TO BE LIKEWISE.
SO WHERE AM I GOING WITH ALL THIS ? WHEN WE COME TO THE FORK IN THE ROAD WE SHOULD TAKE IT. TAKE THE ROCKY UPHILL TRAIL, NOT THE BROAD AND SMOOTH DOWNGRADE WITH ATTRACTIONS HAVING AN EVIL APPEARANCE.
NOT TO DISHEARTEN ANY, HOWEVER, SCRIPTURE SAYS, NARROW IS THE WAY AND FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT.
SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES AND IT IS THERE.
CARLENE, I WILL TRY TO REMEMBER TO SHORTEN COMMENTS. WE WHOM REGULARLY TALK TO JESUS SORT OF GET CARRIED AWAY WITH IT. sam

OMG...I just got that book today! My BIL read it and recommended it. I have to finish my other read first, and I hate to be without a book, but I should be able to start it by the end of the week! Love your new layout. Small towns, love 'em! Don't know if I could live there (where would I work), but I like the feeling that everyone knows everyone!
